Journal Overview

SPACE PLUS is an international journal dedicated to major advances and emerging developments in space science. It publishes original research articles, authoritative review papers and timely research communications. The journal aims to promote scientific discovery and technological innovation while building a world-class academic exchange platform for space science.

I. Position

International Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Office of SPACE PLUS

II. Responsibility

  • Undertake strategic planning and overall management of the journal’s internationalization from a global perspective on space science, and continuously elevate the journal’s academic impact worldwide.
  • Invite world-leading scholars and specialists to build an international editorial board featuring high academic standards and diversity.
  • Oversee the journal’s academic planning and high-quality content development. With a focus on emerging research hotspots, lead manuscript solicitation on specific themes and the planning of special issues.
  • Take full responsibility for the journal’s international academic operations.
  • Establish an efficient and impartial peer review system, and build partnerships with global research institutions and academic conferences to enhance the journal’s international academic standing.

III. Qualifications

The successful candidate should have:

  • A doctoral degree and be able to fulfill the responsibilities of a full-time position.
  • A strong commitment to research ethics, academic standards, and personal integrity.
  • Research experience at world-leading research institutions, with a forward-looking global perspective on space science and the ability to identify long-term disciplinary trends, research frontiers and emerging research areas.
  • Editorial experience with internationally recognized academic journals, with in-depth knowledge of global academic publishing standards and industry trends.Preference will be given to candidates who have served as an Associate Editor-in-Chief, or in an equivalent or more senior editorial role, at a journal published in partnership with a leading international publishing group, as well as those with experience in interdisciplinary research collaboration.
  • Proficiency in English-language academic editing and peer reviewing, as well as ability to oversee the journal’s academic quality, editorial orientation and publishing compliance.
  • A strong international academic reputation in space science, with proven capacity to engage leading experts worldwide in journal peer review, manuscript solicitation and special issue planning.

IV. Renumeration and Benefits

  • Remuneration: Competitive salary on negotiated basis according to academic credentials and expertise.
  • Employment Registration: Beijing household registration support is available for high-level talents who meet relevant municipal eligibility requirements.
  • Medical Benefits: Supplementary medical insurance shall be processed in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Housing: Temporary talent apartments are available; eligible candidates may apply for relocation allowances in accordance with national and institute policies.
  • Children's Education: Assistance is provided for the enrollment of children in kindergartens and primary/secondary schools in Beijing.
